Revised Southern
timetable (14 December 2009)
From 14 December, through services between the West London Line, Gatwick
Airport and Brighton are withdrawn. Monday to Saturday services will
now run hourly with NEW timings, and between Clapham Junction <-> East
Croydon will call at all stations. Gatwick-Brighton passengers may change
at either Clapham Junction (steep, narrow stairs) or East Croydon (no-step
subway or overbridge). From 26 January 2009, the Monday-Saturday service
will be extended to Milton Keynes. See the map on the right for the stations
served. |

through the opening of the new station, PLUS a timetable of good news
for the WLL passengers through to December 2010

Welcoming the opening of the new Shepherd's Bush WLL station in October,
the proposed restoration of the link to Milton Keynes by January, news
about a new station at Imperial Wharf and maps of services and interconnections
for passengers travelling to/from the north, the south and the south
west, using the WLL and avoiding Zone 1, this latest Newsletter also
includes brief details of new trains on London Overground, AND details
of the Earls Court Festival (6-20 July) including
the Little Red Train running on Sunday 20th July in
Brompton Cemetery.

This flyer contains an update to the latest timetable changes and
includes details of how passengers at the new Mitcham Eastfields station
can join the WLL services at Balham.

The WLLG expresses a number of concerns about the proposed cessation
of the cross-Clapham services [the incomplete answers to Parliamentary
questions, the 28% increase in passenger traffic in 18 months, conflicts
of Government policies, the undermining of passenger safety and potentials
for non-compliance with Disability Discimination primary legislation,
and the undermining of transport links for the West london venues for
the 2012 Olympics]. The Group has included a list of new developmenst
in the West london corridor that are significant generators of passenger
demand for the West London Line services.

These highlight the improvements to the WLL services following timetable
changes from Monday 10th December on Overground and Southern services.
These include extra morning peak service for Wembley Central, improved
service between the WLL and South London stations in the morning and
evening peaks, and the extra weekday morning services from Clapham
Junction
